If you asked me between the ages of 5 to 30, if I could have my dream wedding, what would it be. well, this would be it!
Growing up a little punk rocker and working in the music industry I always wanted something a little different (like me), with close family + friends, out in the open air BUT by water (preferably the ocean), a spectacular surrounding, lots of fun, champagne, good food, laughs, music, tattoos, singing + love, yet with elegance, beauty and color.
My dear Melinda did this on her special day yet made it even made it MORE spectacular by adding not only red lipstick, a dove grey dress, beth’s lovely flowers, Dress: Badgley Mischka. Rockin!, brilliant red leather patent MIU MIU shoes AND a birdcage veil sporting a red gerber daisy to the side.
BUT this girl also added her brilliant smile, a stunning groom (who wore a smokin hot custom designed suit) and wonderful friends, who I now consider mine as well.

Everyone drove or flew into Salt Spring from Seattle (as both the bride, groom and their parents all reside in Seattle) and I think I was the only Canuck in the lot who flew from Vancouver (eh)

and I didn’t mind a bit. How gorgeous are the surroundings??

The couple married here at Hastings House on Salt Spring Island

had to take advantage of the brilliant fruits tress that surrounded the property.

and this was the first photo as well as first time I met Melinda. A stunner isn’t’ she?!
Chris, the groom ain’t to shabby himself is he?!

WOW – is all I could say all day! There are too many spectacular photos that I will be making ANOTHER blog post, but here are a few of my favs that tell the story of the day.

a little Bee song Melinda walked down the aisle to, performed by none other the Harmar Superstar
followed by her dad singing a beautiful song to his only daughter. There was not a dry eye in the house!

isnt’ this photo above AMAZING (one of my fav’s for sure) not because I took it – but you can just see the love that exudes from these two when they are around each other. Bliss.

Mr. + Mrs.

There are many brilliant photos of these two on this gorgeous property as you will see in the slideshow, but here are a few to I wanted to share right away.

I LOVE the Canadian wedding cake. Not only deer as a cake topper, but icing sugar as snow. Too cute.

For part 2 and the party that went on all night and for many more images of this SPECTACULAR wedding day of Chris + Melinda, please check back I will be posting a FABULOUS slideshow this week.
Chris + Mindy – thank you for everything, having the wedding of our dreams, happy honeymooning in Cabo and much love. x angela
