If you know me at all, you know I LOVE COLOR!~~ and I found it in my travels. I found it on one of my favorite streets in Barcelona - on La Rambla.
La Rambla is a street in central Barcelona, popular with both tourists and locals alike.
A 1.2 kilometer-long tree-lined pedestrian mall between Barri Gòtic and El Raval, it connects Plaça Catalunya in the center with the Christopher Columbus monument at Port Vell.

Las Ramblas in Barcelona is approximately 1.2 kilometres long with Port Vell (near the cruise port terminal) at the Southern most end and Placa Catalunya at the northern most end.
If you have your back to Port Vell and you are looking up towards Catalunya along the Ramblas on your left hand side is the Raval area and on your right-hand side is the Barri Gotic (or Gothic Quarter). Barcelona Las Ramblas can also be roughly divided into seedy and non-seedy areas.
La Rambla can be crowded, especially during prime time tourist season. Most of the time, there are many more tourists than locals occupying the Rambla—this has changed the shopping selection, as well as the character of the street in general. For this reason also, it has become a prime target for pickpocketing (knock on wood, I didn’t get robbed!)
While you walk down Las Ramblas, you can sit and have a coffee/sangria, get some food, buy some flowers, look at statue people and buy pets!
Local children and their parents come down on the weekend because they have a huge selection of pets from bunnies,
to birds,
to roosters?????
weird, right?! Oh well, my adventures in Barcelona continue…
