What a wonderful afternoon spend with such a GORGEOUS couple.  Preston and Shelley are getting married next month in Vancouver.  We decided to take some images around their stomping grounds in White Rock, and planned a couple of fun shots that blossomed their relationship.

You may recognize this superstar couple from AMAZING  secret surprise proposal engagement shoot up at Cypress Mountain that Chad pulled off this summer (also published in the pages of Vancouver wedding magazine, Real weddings)

We finally got a chance to do a real engagement session this weekend. This adorable couple will be leaving Vancouver so it was important to capture some of the BC feel to our images.

On my last adventure, I just got back from photographing in Palm Springs @ the Ace Hotel.

This hotel has to be one of the raddest hotels I have photographed in.  It was so cool and perfect to photograph these two hipsters, Cami and Dave and their beloved, BOB.

So today’s theme ironically for our engagement session has similarities.

I am from Ottawa, I like to ‘karaoke’ to Carrie Underwood songs and today our themed shoot is HOCKEY!  Also, like Carrie and Mike, we chose a secret location to do our engagement session and had security around us so no one would bother us

I got a call from Chad one afternoon suggesting he’d like to do something special for his girlfriend.

He wanted a Vancouver wedding photographer to come out to document the ACTUAL proposal at a cabin up at Cypress Bowl, where his girlfriend’s dad, proposed to her mom. (insert tears here!)

Of course I jumped up and down for joy and said yes, I would absolutely do it.  With much correspondence back and forth between Chad and I picking the exact date we were all available, we agreed it would happen THIS MORNING (yes, an hour ago – I couldn’t WAIT to blog these and share them with you)

Hiding in the bushes, I was like a paparazzi/ninja making sure she didn’t hear of see me in the bushes…  I’ll let the photos tell the story

She thought she was going on a beautiful Sunday morning hike until…

ENGAGED !!!!!

Time to call the parents..

her mom was just the cutest thing SCREAMING for 15 minutes with excitement. so awesome!!!!
