Happy new Year from the future!!
It’s 2013 in Perth, WA and pleased to say it’s been a wonderful year so far.
It’s the first year where I have not been working, it’s 35 degree heat (at night time), and wandering round the city with good friends and with great music. I feel so blessed to live such a great life. 2012 was very good to me and looking forward to a bright 2013.
and because every post looks better with a photo – here’s a fav photo of Annelise and Matt’s wedding the other day.

New years eve 2012 – never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d be here. EVER!!
Words can not begin to describe how blessed I feel!!
I’m celebrating New Year’s Eve, in 40+ degrees heat, at the beach, on a rock, dressed in a frock, having a BBQ and
watching one of the most amazing sunsets I have ever seen in my life.
If this is a dream, please don’t pinch me because I don’t want to wake up! Here’s to us all, and have an amazing 2013 year! x
love, Angela

This Vancouver wedding photographer says G’Day from Perth, WA.
Today, from my office at the beach – the weather is 40 degrees. hahahaha (joking)
I sooooooooo LOVE it when I get to travel with my clients for weddings and family portrait sessions.
This year my favorite gift was getting this holiday card from Louise and Ben and Charlie from our fall session here.
The best gift I can get is seeing others enjoy my photography with their friends and loved ones.
Thanks for this card and happy new year to all!

Merry Christmas from Australia!
I know some people can’t keep up with where I am these days, I have been travelling a ton.
I’m having the best time ‘down-under’ in Perth, WA and I just photographed the cutest wedding ever (photos to come)
It’s Christmas day here now, (it’s very different because it’s my first Christmas where it’s 40 degrees and in the sunshine)
I just wanted to wish you all a happy and safe holiday season. xoxo
(and congratulations to all those newly engaged couples!!)

It’s been a while blog readers… Quick update, I’m currently in Australia for the wedding of Pier and Nic.
When I got this in the mail – how could I resist. Most adorable invite EVER???
and it’s designed by the bride’s daughter, Sophia – even cuter!!!

Such a treat to be here in the sun over the holidays, instead of the cold of Canada this year.
Many many more blog posts to come. xo angela
there’s nothing like seeing your work in print, and this month I have been blessed to see mine EVERYWHERE!!!!!!
not gonna lie, I had to let out a little scream when I first saw the photos I took whizz by me on a bus. Then I saw another bus, and another bus

Last month, I was just tickled pink when I got a call from the wonderful people at Global TV to ask if I could update the photographs of their FABULOUS Vancouver TV Personalites.
I’ve always been a fan of Chris Gailus, Deb Hope, Randene Neil, Sophie Lui, Steve Darling, Squire Barnes and the rest of the crew at Global.
It was so great to be there and see everyone working so hard to bring us up to the moment news.
being familiar working with celebrities, as well as my music background working for Rolling Stone, I thought it would be fun photographing them like the rockstars they are.
much thanks and love to my fabulous assistant Geoff + Wayne
I think it turned out pretty awesome. what do you think? Feel free to comment below.

and some behind the scenes fun

and Jill Krop’s super fun behind the scenes of the shoot on video
There is nothing like a beautiful, crisp, fall day in Vancouver with one of my favorite families.
You may remember the beautiful Louise and Ben (click here) while this little monkey was in her belly.
I can’t believe how BIG little Charlie is.

What a beautiful family, right?! and I am absolutely in LOVE with Charlie.

Love him!!! Such a little monkey

Don’t you wanna just hug him?!!!!

and how cute is his little hat?!!!

Louise and Ben – thank you for choosing me to always document your family images and I am so thankful we have now also become good friends
xoxo
Save the date cuz Katie and Paul are gettin’ hitched!!! wheeeeeeeeeeeee!
I was super excited that Katie contacted me a few weeks ago after seeing Tris + Larissa’s Stanley Park engagement (photos here)
It was also really exciting that Katie also knew many more of my past brides. I love word of mouth testimonial because
there is nothing more flattering to me, then a true referral – friend to another friend.
now, may I present to you , Katie + Paul (and Jackson)

here’s a few of my fav’s

Paul + Katie live in my hood and often go biking around the seawall, so we thought it would be fun to incorporate that in their session

I LOVE this one at the Whip where they had their first date. so super cute
oh ya – and save the date!!!

She thought she was going shopping in Calgary.
Little did she know, her boyfriend Eric had spent weeks preparing for this surprise proposal at the Fairmont Pacific Rim in Vancouver.
Eric and Emily live in Edmonton and with the help of Emily’s sister, Eric’s plan went off with out a hitch.
Emily had driven from Edmonton to Calgary thinking she was going on a shopping spree, but was surprisingly mistaken. She then boarded a plane to Vancouver for the weekend, treated to a spa weekend and a surprise proposal!! Prepare to look at these with kleenex in hand.

It’s a bird, no it’s a plane with a message!!!!

and champagne containing a little bling bling

she said YES!!!

much love and congrats to you both Eric and Emily!!! xoxo
and thanks to Kristie and the staff at the Pacific Rim for making operation proposal a success
