Happy 10 year wedding anniversary | Salt Spring Island wedding photographer

Happy 10 year wedding anniversary Mel and Iain.

Gosh, it seems like just yesterday we were having this photoshoot on Salt Spring Island, in the cutest little church you ever did see and then these beautiful portraits @ Ruckle Park. It was one of my first Salt Spring weddings - 10 years ago – wow!

This photograph was taken when I was a FILM photographer. There is no photoshop to this image and was shot on sepia film at 400 iso on my Nikon F90X. I remember those beautiful days of photography so fondly. I miss and love my film cameras. There was such a magic to film images that I have yet to capture in the digital world.

and dang – you both look just as gorgeous now as you did on your wedding day. Pure beauty shines thru you. I am so blessed to have shared in your lives and family for so long. much love to you and your 2 beautiful children.

The babies are coming ….

It seems that there are many Vancouver moms out there that are beautifully pregnant and having newborns this month. I am just elated to share some images from Jen’s session of her new son.

One of the things I love about Vancouver newborn photography and these babies is that they small so delicious. yum

and big sister Abi just ADORES her little brother

I met her in January, documented her wedding, her family + her maternity sessions, and I’m so blessed to now say, her newborn son!. The thing I love about photographing Vancouver weddings – is once I photograph them – It’s hard to shake me (just joking)

Man, I count my blessings every day. I really do have the best job in the world and have the best clients! xooxox

Today, the beautiful Carrie Underwood married the hot, hunky Ottawa Senator’s own Mike Fisher. Big shout outs to them!

So today’s theme ironically for our engagement session has similarities.

I am from Ottawa, I like to ‘karaoke’ to Carrie Underwood songs and today our themed shoot is HOCKEY! Also, like Carrie and Mike, we chose a secret location to do our engagement session and had security around us so no one would bother us

I just love photographing newborn photography. Especially since this was my very first set of TWINS!. Oh My goodness, I just melted!!!!

Aren’t they delicious - I could just eat them! How cute are they!!

First, I would like to congratulate Kim + Brett for adding twins to their family.

They do make the both beautiful babies dont they? Here they are with their other 3 children last year for their yearly photoshoot.

The now have (wow) 5 children. I feel so honored and blessed to have the best job in the world and watch these little faces grow up – this is going to be an AMAZING journey to document yearly.

and now may I properly introduce you…This is Sophie

and brother Rhys

best friends for life…

I LOVE the way he protects her already

these newborns are so sweet
