I LOVE being a Vancouver wedding photographer.
I first met Alden and Becky via email from his sister Kate, who I met in LA thru our mutual friend, Paul. Simple, right?
I documented their wedding here in 2007 and was just tickled pink when they said they were back in Vancouver wanting some family portraits. I was so excited to meet the lovely Tessa. What a little cutie she is.
Hi loyal blog readers,
bad news: I’ve been sick with a cold for a few weeks, and I couldn’t seem to shake it.
good news: I FINALLY went to the doctor + got some antibiotics and now on the mend. YAY!
While being sick, I’ve been working, editing, and asking myself, why aren’t I getting better? (I know right, slow learner.)
Today, I’ve taken the doctors orders and I’m on the couch resting, watching Nate Berkus.
On the show is one of my FAVORITE people + celebrity chef from his TV show, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, Guy Fieri
My brain instantly flashed back to photoshoot Guy and I did together that I never blogged. Following doctor’s orders, it’s not in this post.
but, it’s now on my list of things to blog and there are a whole lot of new photos coming!

You may laugh at the title: The Royal wedding, but honestly, let me tell you – Wills and Kate ain’t got nothing on Mama Maria and the wedding of Chad and Lauren.
Go get your tissue now, because you’ll see what I mean.

but if you thought that was special, the work that went into this wedding was like none I had ever seen before (and I have shot 600+ weddings in my career) wow! Should you happen to be getting married in Penticton and need a wedding planner, friend, your nails done at her spa or an incredible woman to have coffee with, there are two words to describe this wonderful woman, MAMA MARIA!
The wedding took place at the Ponderosa Ranch Resort in Penticton. So gorgeous, right?!
the invites were sent and finally the day day they had been planning for over a year (probably longer as they have been dating for 7) was here.
Stunning doesn’t even begin to describe the worn about how Lauren looked in her Monique L’huillier gown and her sweet shoes
which all the girls signed before they placed on their own.
not only did her shoes rock, but check out the matching ones her girls wore.

Many of you may recognize my ‘poster kids’ Krista and Colin. Their wedding pics are posted here from their GORGEOUS wedding back in 2006 (September 28) in Big Sur, California.
Krista has a smile that lights up a room. The second you meet her, you can feel nothing but the love she has inside her. We met randomly at a conference here in Vancouver. Our paths were blessed to cross and our talks of love were spoken and our words to each other were kept, I felt so blessed to have been flown out to document her big day to the love of her life and her soulmate, Colin (also a filmmaker) 5 years ago!
K+C – I wish you nothing more but a lifetime of happiness. You are such dear friends and my life became instantly better the moment we met.

I’m here, I’m here – sorry blog readers….
I have had a REALLY busy couple of month with weddings, TONS of boudoir, rocknroll bands as well as delicious newborns!
I promise there will be a bunch of new images posted very soon. One thing I love about being a Vancouver wedding and portrait photographer, are sometimes escapes to other cities – haha.
